COM12

My first ever blog during college.. Haha

COM12 is the class where I belong.. xD

New classmates, new school, new professors and a very long trip…

Last Monday, first day of classes sa La Salle..

I was excited that time, pero a little bit nervous..

Kasi, ibang tao na ang makakasalamuha ko..

As usual, tahimik muna sa first day..

Getting to know each other for the past 2-3 days..

But on the 4th day.. Close na kaming magka-classmates..

42 is the number to beat.. Haha! Same as Achie, last year..

But, most of the time, 44 kami sa class with the Koreans..

Sometimes, 45 pag kasama yung guy na irregular student..

Anyway, I thought I’ll be a loner sa college..

Kasi, many people are saying that you can’t find friends, or I should say

true friends sa college..

Pero, as the day passes by, parang di naman totoo yun..

My classmates are so approachable, we’re all talkative and jolly people..

The nice thing is that, we all hate Mathematics!!.. Haha

Super kabuang, kapag suklian na..

Believe it or not!!.. I’m telling you, belive it!! xD

Glory to God cause I was voted to be the class president

and be the representative of COM12 in CADPRES..

I didn’t expect that.. But, anyway I appreciate it..

I’m very much thankful sa mga classmates ko na

super supportive and sa trust na binigay nila sakin..

I can’t even be on the list of the officers if they don’t trust me at all..

Kaya, masaya ako sa section ko..

I hope that all of us will enjoy our college life..

And be more colorful than our HS days..

Thanks guys, God bless!!..

tc palagi sa pag-uwi..

Ang lalayo kasi ng mga house natin e.. xD

Acting Workshop

Yesterday at JCSGN Worship Center, I attended a
one whole day acting workshop headed by Sis. Tess A. Cascasan...

It was awesome! I love the workshop..
Tita Tess was a great teacher, she knows how to act very well..

Many youth attended the workshop to boost up their confidence
and to discover if they have hidden talents in acting..
Tita Tess taught us how to be focused when we are already on the
scene and delivering our lines...
She taught us how to act in sad scenes, she told us
that crying is not the basis if you're a good dramatic actor, but instead if
you cannot cry at all, just make your voice a little husky..
Just make it, as if you are crying..

We also learned that listening is a very important part of learning..
And indeed an essential when we want to learn something like acting..

I remembered the lines;
"This is a bear, and this is a good bear. OK? Now, what is the question?"

The instruction was, we need to listen to what she will say and we'll just whisper
to the facilitators our answer..
At first it seems that it's a very hard one, but when I listened carefully to the statement, I
realized that the answer is "OK?"

I also remembered this lines;
"Andito ka nanaman! Di ba't sabi ko sayo na ayoko nang makita
'yang pagmumukha mo dito. Lumayas ka! Layas!"

We used these lines for the whole exercises..
We used it when the scene is sad, funny, angry, nervous, afraid, convincing, curious, etcetera..

Thanks to Tita Tess for her effort and patience, so that we could
learn so many things about acting.. :)

Ministry

blog.. blog.. blog....

let’s talk about MINISTRY..

i’ll be specific, haha..

i’m going to tell you something about my ministry..

my ministries are praise and worship team, interpretative dance ministry and youth ministry..

during those times na nagstart palang ang fellowship sa bucandala

sa umc pa ako nagsisimba..

i also have a ministry there and that is the kid’s choir and children’s ministry..

but when i was already a teenager..

nilipat ako sa umyf..

pero i was’nt that active sa mga ministries nila..

kasi sobrang nahihiya pa ako..

(di halata noh?!) LOL

but anyway, ganun talaga..

so nung nagstart na yung ministry ni LOrd sa bucandala..

dun din nagstart ang ministry ko..

unfortunately and honestly..

i don’t have a good voice and in fact not even a good dancer..

but truly our Lord gives us the talent so that we can worship Him..

i’m already a part of the paw team, headed by my older cousin..

and i’m also involved in the interpretative dance ministry..

actually, i’m the head..

after 2 years of being a worship leader…

naramdaman ko doon ang tunay na pagwoworship and sacrifice..

when i was studying my secondary education..

i need to do my assignments by late saturday and sunday just to attend the

practices and the worship celebration..

sobrang happy ko kasi nagagamit ako sa church sa ganoong paraan..

and without God na super tumulong sakin,

di ko kakayanin yun..

i’m also thankful to my co-member sa paw and interpretative dance ministry,

kasi super dedicated sila sa kanilang ginagawa..

i’m so much blessed kasi sila ang mga churchmates ko..

you know what guys!

dito ko napatunayan na super important ng ministry..

cause if you already accepted Jesus as your Lord and Personal Savior,

then,

you are automatically hired sa KIngdom of God..

you are certified worker of GOd..

that’s why kailangan tayong kumilos kasi hindi lalago ang

ministry kung maraming Christians ang nakatengga lang..

huwag tayong pumayag that we are just SIMBABWE (simba tapos uwi)

we must be a diligent worker of the LOrd..

that’s why i really love my ministry so much..

because God entrusted those ministries for me to grow in my spiritual aspect..

Thank God!

Who is me?..

Who is me?..

A very simple question for myself, but a very hard question for all
the readers out there who do not know me at all..

Let me first introduce myself..
I am Julius Christian C. Macalagay, 16 years old and taking up
AB Communication at De La Salle University - Dasmarinas, Cavite Phils.

I am the eldest son of Rev. Teodulfo B. Macalagay Jr. who is the Founding Pastor of
Jesus Christ Spreading the Good News Ministry International and Mrs. Elizabeth C. Macalagay who is an employee of Makati Shangri - La Manila..

I am a type of person who loves watching videos at Youtube, updating my Twitter,
accepting comments at Friendster and answering non-sense questions at Facebook.. ;)
For short, I am a person who always surfs the internet..

If I am not wrong, last year, I made a blog at my Friendster account but I wasn't that
happy because there are only few people who can read it..
That is why I made a Blogger..
I really want people to know who am I, and what are the things that I want
to share, what's on my mind, etcetera..

I am an active member of JCSGN Ministry, a Praise & Worship Team Member
and the Head of Interpretative Dance Ministry..
I'm a PROUD CHRISTIAN! I love JESUS!
And I really wanna worship Him in anyways that I can..
Although I'm a sinful person but still, because God loves us so much,
He gave His only begotten Son which is Jesus Christ, that whosoever believeth in Him should
not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16

I belong to a Christian family, obviously cause my father is a pastor..
We're all came from United Methodist Church, but suddenly
our family decided to stay at my fathers ministry at JCSGN..

I have a sister, her name is Julie Anne, she's very cute (I know she is, I'm just denying.. LOL)
but she's also chubby..
She loves FOOD! But unfortunately, she doesn't eat vegetables..
She is now a 1st Year High School student, studying at Imus Institute..

COURSE... COURSE... COURSE...

When I was still in Preparatory, I really wanted to be a Teacher
because as I can see that time, that job is very easy cause you'll just play
with the other kids, but it wasn't actually like that..
Teacher is a very hard job..

So when I graduated from Elementary, it was changed and turned as
a Tourist Guide..
Sounds funny?!.. But it was true..
I really like traveling.. Want to go to many places in the world..
Want to learn different cultures and traditions and want to
experience to live in a different climate.. :)

But when I was in High School, I already wanted to be
an Ambassador.. A Diplomat..

Last 2008, it was my last year in High School and I need to
prepare for my college life..
I took the UPCAT, USTET and DLSU-D CET..
My father told me to pick the courses that are related to English..
Like, AB English, AB Communication Arts, etcetera..
That's what I did..
But unfortunately, I did not pass the UPCAT, but passed the USTET and DLSU-D CET..
After that I told my parents that I really wanted to study at Manila, specifically at UST..
But they did not allow me, instead they insist me to enroll
at DLSU-D.. After so many dramas, here I am now a
certified La Sallian.. :)

... ... ... ...

I am not a sports minded person, I don't like sports at all..
But I do know how to swim and ride a bike...

I love acting, it is my passion..
I really wanted to join different acting clubs, but my father don't want..
Instead, he wants me to join journalism club, but it's okey..
Btw, it is still somehow related to my course..

After college, I want to take Law..
I really wanted to be involved in politics..
I know it is very dangerous for me to be involved in that thing, but
that's what I want, and as a Christian I have
that desire in my heart to help my fellow countrymen.. :)

So, thanks for reading my first ever blog here..
Hoping you'll read my upcoming blogs..
Enjoy reading..
God bless you!

I am hoping that as you read this blog, you are more or less know my personality.. :)
